Walter N. Yoder founded our business in 1927 as a small plumbing company in the Cumberland area, and was eventually joined by his sons, Bill Yoder and John Yoder, Sr. The three ran our business, and founded and operated Pinto Utilities, a public utility company providing water and wastewater service for the Bel Air and Glen Oaks communities, until 1993. In 1969, John Yoder, Sr., then president, expanded into our industrial and sheetmetal fabrication business, Potomac Metal & Supply Inc. John Sr. acquired the companies in 1971 after his father’s passing. Our company moved into the real estate market in Mineral County, WV, in the 1980s, under the leadership of John Yoder, Jr. In 1999, John, Jr. took over the ownership of Walter N. Yoder & Sons, Inc., and its subsidiary, Potomac Metal & Supply Inc. Moving forward, we seek to continue our role in the community by supporting many local schools, churches, and other organizations. Family comes first with our business, and we look forward to welcoming new clients to our business family.
